The most successful builder needs not to live in the tallest home but rather one of their own design. Whether held or sought, power is the most corrosive element of all potentialities. Individually, we are responsible for speaking as directly as necessary where power is being wielded irresponsibly.

Change itself is agnostic. It remains a constant, though at various intervals, practicing adherence to unintended consequences. Radical change implies an imposition of conditions, though it does not specify from what direction.

Confronting canon, school-age children signify alliance with logos hand drawn on book covers, or jackets, third party buttons, of bands scarcely older than themselves. Marginalized by genre, they form hierarchies mirroring systems they intend to supplant. Separating from the whole to form a smaller group can create a feedback loop that may be limiting toward advancing a spectrum of taste. Taste itself is built from exposure. Think about how much light would be needed to illuminate the details of a photo to allow for appreciation, acceptance or dismissal, now again if the photo is a map. Exposure should not solely concentrate on the individual area. It should attempt to spread to the whole to allow the interplay of existing details to be observed.

We can only converse within the bounds of the nature of our design. There are far more people in the world different from you than those who are like you. There are far more people in the world like you than those who are different from you. 

Music preferences, like morality, may be badges worn as barriers or bridges and can be redrawn as new information becomes available. Morality can have, especially in a religious context, a problem sorting out the real-life feel on the ground from what has been dictated. Any pedestal should be subject to questions of continuance. Any object on a pedestal should be subjected to an inquisition of not only provenance, but relevance and humility to accept its viability within a larger spectrum of applicable meaning and value. The same applies to sound. The lines between signal and noise are more arbitrary than presumed and their roles can flip in the edifying ear of the owner. Open listening. Focus on the breadth of the library and your own connectivity.
